Our company profiles are the heart of our platform. We track every company with over 10 FTEs in Europe / 50 FTEs in the world as part of our mission to provide unparalleled private market insights.
Through our human-in-the-loop review process, our proprietary large language model and our flexible data structure and tagging, we connect disparate sources and pieces of information relating to a company into clean, investor-ready insights.
Our profiles split into two types: Curated and GenAI profiles. Curated profiles include over 8-10 hours of human-in-the-loop research and are constantly being added as we expand our coverage of all sizeable companies (defined as over €5m EBITDA, €10m in Funding, €50m in Revenue or 250 FTEs, with some variation by region).
Our GenAI profiles fill in the gaps across the globe, and leverage our LLM and parsed financials (where available) to help you access the long-tail of businesses. You can also request curation of a GenAI profile where they meet our criteria as you discover them, and our team of analysts will develop a fully fleshed out profile in a matter of days.
Almost all of the data that we hold on the companies that we track is available for you to search and filter on. You can also search for companies across the breadth of data in Gain.pro platform by navigating to the companies tab and selecting your filters, covering:
- Company activity - by free text search, our suggested intelligent natural language tags or even by specifying a similar company
- Financial performance & size - select revenue, EBITDA and FTE ranges alongside margin thresholds or Asset, Net Debt or Net Working Capital criteria to truly refine your search
- Ratios, business model dynamics and assessment criteria - get one level deeper with key investor ratios (e.g. Net Debt / EBITDA or EV / Sales) combined with qualitative insights on market position, cyclicality and price positioning
- Growth rates - track revenue, margin or EBITDA growth over years alongside low-latency FTE growth (e.g. over the last 3 months) to categorise assets by speed
- Owners, Investors and Advisors - search on general ownership stake (e.g. PE minority investments), for specific Investors or even for commonly used Advisors
- Fundraising, capital and M&A activity - find companies based on their past fundraising activity (incl. round size and valuation), platform or add-on M&A activity or even predicted exit time and metrics to help narrow the universe of companies to an actionable number!
Our company profiles are the foundation for your analyses and insights
When you land on a company page, the summary distills the key information required to orient you around the company in terms of activity, size and performance. We combine key factual information on the business activities and performance with important context such as our analyst’s teams assessment of investment criteria.
From this summary page you can then dive deeper into each of the supporting tabs to to better understand the profile. You can also export the profile in one click to PDF and Excel to ensure you get the data in the format you need.
We pride ourselves on our heritage in investment and M&A to inform the research direction and quality of our PEI team. When our analysts carry out their 8 to 10 hours of research, they push to ensure that their findings are always logical, informative and clearly sourced.

All of this rich company data is also available with further contextual analysis based on which part of Gain.pro you are currently using, such as tracking industry segments that feature a given company, understanding their relative performance in Investor portfolios or viewing the conferences they will be exhibiting at in the future.
Collaborate on Gain.pro in the style that works for you and your team
As you explore companies on Gain.pro, there are multiple ways to save profiles and access the information in the platform across your team (including in-application collaboration).
You can save your searches into an active filter, enabling you to automatically be notified as new companies meet your criteria (due to growth or new information) as and when it happens, both in-application and with an email round-up.
You can also save individual companies (from search results or elsewhere in the platform, such as Investor’s portfolio or Industry report) into bookmark lists, which save and retain these companies into your own defined groups. You can stay on top of the news with automatic updates as new financials, FTE growth or other information is added to our platform.
Both of these types of lists can be collaborated on with your colleagues, enabling you to work off a common dataset and ensure neither of you miss an opportunity.
All it takes is for you to click on the 3 dots next to a given list to share with a colleague and ensure you are working off the same “hymn sheet”
Finally, you can always export and download the company profile, financials, annual reports and other key information for individual companies or groups of companies with a couple of clicks to share in your organisation or use in your analysis.
