Finding known Investors
If you know the name of an investment firm, the Global Search bar is your fastest route.
For example, searching for "Blackstone" will lead you directly to the relevant Investor profile.
Exploring the Investor landscape
When your goal is discovering Investors, navigate to the Investors tab to apply filters across all our profiles.
Some common searches include Investor Attribute, Focus or Fundraising activity.
Investor Attributes: Define the type of firm you're looking for
Location: Filter by Investor HQ country or region
FTEs: Search based on the Investor's headcount
Investment Focus: Search based on their portfolio or investment thesis
Sectors & Tags: Find Investors in a specific industry or niche with natural language tags
Geography: Identify firms that predominantly invest in a given region (e.g. the West Coast, or DACH)
Typical Deal Size: Target based on typical Revenue or EBITDA ranges
Deal Volume: Filter by the number of companies in their portfolio or deals completed
Fundraising Activity: Refine based on an Investor's capital or fund status
Fund size and live funds: Find all funds over a certain size or currently active
Dry powder: Use our proprietary filter to estimate how much capital an Investor has available to deploy
Searching for Strategies and Funds
Investors on Gain.pro can be explored at three levels - firm, strategy and fund - giving you many different ways to find what you need.
Strategies show how a firm invests - e.g. buyout vs venture capital. Search these when you want to:

Pinpoint Investors with a specific Investment approach in a sector or region
- Find partners, competitors, buyers or co-investors within a given niche
Funds are specific capital pools, tied to strategies and portfolio companies. Search these to:

Identify those Investors actively deploying capital in a given sector or region
- Find funds that are live or currently raising by filtering on fund size, vintage or status

How do I save my results?

You can save any search results to a Watchlist and stay up to date on all of their portfolio and fundraising activity
- You can also add Investors directly to a Watchlist from their profile or from the Company table view
