Importing and exporting data

What to know

Individual users can export data (e.g. PDF and Excel downloads) in line with their team-wide download limits.

They can also upload their own lists into Gain.pro by adding Companies using our "bulk URL upload" option.

If you require larger, systematic exports, our bulk data feed or CRM integrations may be suitable. 

 

Downloading data

You can export lists of Companies, Investors, and Deals as Excel files. 

Individual profiles and Industry Reports can be downloaded as PDFs or Excel files.

How to export

Use the Export or Download button in the top-right corner of any relevant page (e.g., a company list, a deal list, or an industry report)

Your download limits

Your organisation has a team-wide monthly download quota that resets at the start of each month. 

You can check your remaining downloads in your account settings. 

If you exceed the limit, please contact support or your account manager for assistance.

 

Importing data

You can upload a list of company website URLs when creating or adding to a Watchlist.

We will automatically match them to our database and add them to a Watchlist. 

You will receive a matching report to review the results tied to the Gain.pro database.

 

Bulk and automated exports

For teams wishing to integrate Gain.pro data directly into internal systems like a CRM or data warehouse, we offer off-the-shelf CRM integrations and a bulk data feed.

FAQs

Are the download limits for each user or our whole team?
  • Download limits apply to your entire organisation (not a per-user basis) and refresh each month
     
  • You can check your team's remaining downloads in your account settings
     
What should I do if my team reaches its monthly download limit?
  • If you reach your download limit, please contact our support team or your Customer Success Manager
     
Can I import a list of companies directly from an Excel file?
  • While you cannot directly import an Excel file, you can import a list of companies by pasting their website URLs into our "Add companies by URL" option on Watchlists
     
  • We will automatically match the URLs to our company profiles and add them to a Watchlist for you
     
Can I download the Benchmarking charts?
  • The charts themselves are not directly downloadable. However, you can export the data for a chart using the "Download" icon above that chart 
     
  • This will include all the underlying data behind them in a ready-to-use Excel file, allowing you to recreate the exact chart
