Installing & using the browser extension

Integrating Gain.pro into your browser streamlines your research workflow. Use it to:

• Instantly access insights: Get key data like ownership details, financials, and FTEs as your browse a page
   
• Understand business models faster: Review our analyst insights and tags without leaving your current tab
   
• Save companies on the fly: Add interesting companies directly to a Watchlist for later investigation

Once installed and logged in, the extension works seamlessly as you browse.

• Find a Match: When you navigate to a website that we have been able to find a match for in our database, a red notification will appear on the Gain.pro extension icon
   
• View Key Insights: Click the icon to open an overlay with key insights from the Gain.pro platform. This includes a business overview, detailed financials, and ownership information at a glance
   
• Go Deeper: From the overlay, you are just one click away from viewing the full company profile on the Gain.pro platform

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for the "Gain.pro Browser Extension"
    
2. Click "Add to Chrome" and then approve any permissions by clicking "Add extension"
    
3. In your browser's toolbar, click the puzzle icon for "Extensions" and click the pin icon next to Gain.pro to keep it visible
    
4. Click the Gain.pro icon and log in with your email and password. You will only need to do this once.

1. Open the Gain.pro Browser Extension page from the Chrome Web Store in your Edge browser
    
2. Click "Get" and then confirm by clicking "Add Extension"
    
3. In your browser's toolbar, click the Extensions icon and select the "show in toolbar" icon next to Gain.pro to pin it
    
4. Click the Gain.pro icon and log in with your email and password. You will only need to do this once.

• Yes, the extension is secure and we do not store any of your browsing history or URLs 
   
• All activity is anonymous, and we only keep a simple, non-identifiable count of how many profiles are viewed via the extension. All your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest

• If the icon is greyed out, it means you are not currently logged in to the extension 
   
• Simply click the icon and enter your Gain.pro credentials to activate it

• Some company IT teams may block the installation of unapproved browser extensions 
   
• If this happens, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager at Gain.pro, and they can support a conversation with your IT team to get it approved
